This is my best blog post because i cited strong textual evidence that my book has connections to todays world. I connected the quote ,"...many of the solders still think of us almost as pets. There is no ignoring
the way they cluster round us for snapshots and beg us to sign the photographs.
But that too, is kind of medicine for them, so I forbid myself from
complaining"(Miller 29/30). with todays celebrities. I made sense of this quote, explaining how the princesses were like todays celebrities. i also made the inference that "the soldiers will continue to treat the girls like this, these they
are royal so they are famous." I was able to infer this because of the quote and prediction I made while reading my book.
Choice 1:
A reading goal I have for myself next trimester is to read more and try and get at least halfway through my book. A writing goal that I have for myself is to improve the words I use when I'm writing. Like not use use common words and try to use "big" words. I need to improve my reading skills by coming up with a theme that isn't cheesy, since I tend to do that. I need to improve my writing skills by making sure if I write a story that it has everything a good story should have. Like a conflict, figurative language, sight, sound, thought, feel,and the rest of those literary elements.
