Book Recomendation

I recommend The Lost Crown to someone who's enjoys translating words. Someone who's knows some about the Russian culture would have a better understanding of the book. If you like story's about a royal family that is having war issues between countries and the 4 daughters and their son have to grow up by each other. The parents are stressed out with all the war issues. The children have to find hope that the war will end and everything can go back to the way they were before the war.

In this book you get to see different points of views. You read in the views of all the daughters. I like this because you not just stuck with one point if view the whole book.

"This is your brother , not an officer, you goose..."(Miller 48). You goose. I now love that expression! It's so funny and no one every says it. I plan on saying that to my friends. You just have to laugh when you hear it.  

Right now my book is really confusing. It takes place in a Russia speaking area and I don't speak Russian or know much about Russia. The author did put a Russia dictionary in the front of the book that I can use so that's helpful. I think the book will get easier to read because I would be kind of used to every.

Analysis

...many of the solders still think of us almost as pets. There is no ignoring the way they cluster round us for snapshots and beg us to sign the photographs. But that too, is kind of medicine for them, so I forbid myself from complaining"(Miller 29/30). In my book the princess are all into nursing the soldiers so they are always helping out in the hospital. Since they are princess people would want to take pictures with. Who wouldn't want to take a picture with royalty? The soldiers don't appreciate them being there. They just think that those girls are the daughters of our king I must take a picture and ask them to sign it. They don't think if them as regular people. It would be like today if you saw your idol. You would go up to them and ask for a picture.

I read an article about how Billy Hamilton, a rookie Reds player, was a amazing player. The article talked about how fast he was since he is a pinch-runner. and in this particular game Puig had an amazing arm so no one wanted to dare to steal a base. I thought it was interesting how so many people commented on how fast of a runner he is. For instant the Reds manager thought that the Reds had given up in the ninth inning but decided it wouldn't be worth it to put Hamilton in because there were fast runners on base. But now Hamilton has to try to become more then just a pinch-runner.

"With the blast of brass and drums, the ships band breaks into a march..."(Miller 9). i wonder if the ships band is anything like a marching band. Like our schools or is it just a few people? Would they only have one or two people playing the same instrument? Would they have just some instruments? Then would the type of instruments depend on the time period? Because i don't know when certain instruments were made. Also would the snares control the speed they walk at? i think that they would only allow men to by in this because of the time period or do they let anyone who can play the intrument very well.
