Tone and mood

1. The tone of my book right now if flirty. And the mood is happy mood right now. The mood is happy because as the book goes through each princesses point of view it's showing a happy time of the book. Even though there is a war between their country and another and the father is commander or tsar and there only brother went to go fight they aren't letting that get them down. They are finding different ways to distract them ,like the soldiers at the hospital.

2. "We tease Mashka, but Tatiana and i both have our favorite, the way we always pick out officers to flirt with on Standart"(Miller 60). This moment in the book showed that there are cute soldiers in the hospital that the older princesses can try to be friends with. The speakers tone influenced this moment because they are trying to be friends with the soldiers so they have to persuade them into keeping a conversation with them.
